Hummingbird Garden

Hummingbirds fly around throughout the day looking for food.  They hunt for insects to get protein, but rely on flowers to provide them with nectar which gives them much needed energy.  As they fly quickly around, they can't afford to waste their energy going to gardens that don't have much nectar.  While they drink nectar from many types of flowers, bright red, orange, and pink flowers are like stop signs to Hummingbirds that quickly grab their attention and direct them to nectar rich gardens.
